He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Remington and Margaret Remington (Key); and his former wife Celia Remington (Croft). He is survived by: his wife Margie Taylor Remington (Risner); his sons, Richard E. Remington, III (Allison) of Boise, ID, Christian Remington (Julia) of Austin, TX, Jonathan Remington (Raegan) of Georgetown, TX and Matthew Remington (Ashley) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Oliver, Isla, Maya, Hudson, Dominic, Kevin and Ke'Von Remington; his stepchildren, Matthew Taylor (Mandi) of Shelby and Laura Heimlich (Chad) of Shelby; his stepgrandchildren, Madeleine, Makenna, Ava Heimlich, Kate and Kelsey Taylor; his sister Dale Earl (Paul) of Boston, MA; his nephews, Brad Earl (Rona) and Jeff Earl (Philippa); and his great-niece Grace Earl. He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.
