She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bobby" Cardwell and Martha Cardwell (Vinson); her grandparents, Elka and Myrtle Vinson; and her aunts, Wilma Vinson and Cora Cardwell.

She is survived by: her close friend Jake; her husband Robert "Bob" Shafer of Shafer's Landscaping; her son Chris Schraedly (Taylor) of Mansfield; her grandchildren, Paisley, Brook, Wade Schraedly, River and Rain Peyton; her brothers, Rob Cardwell (Desiree) of Nashville, TN and Gary Cardwell (Lisa) of Mansfield; her uncle L. K. Vinson of Mansfield; and her daughter-in-law Taylor Schraedly. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
