He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinton A. Patton and Opal E. Patton (Pena); his sons, Timothy Patton and James Patton; his stepchildren, Michael Ramey and Debra Lebowitz; his siblings, Samuel Patton, Charles Patton, Billy Patton, Paul Patton and Helen Lucille Arnold; and his half-siblings, Paul L. Patton, Paul E. Patton, Michael Pena, Raymond Pena, Tom Patton, Carolyn Rachel, Edith Carroll and Pauline Napier.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Patton; his children, Mark Patton (Cari) of Shelby, Stephen Patton (Jessica) of Shelby, David Patton (Linda) of Loveland, OH and Sharon Potter (Kenny) of Toledo; his stepchildren, Kenneth Ramey (Rhonda) of Horn Lake and Angela Tedrow (Mark) of Elyria; his sister Virginia Emswiler (William) of Galion; his half-siblings, Robie Pena of Shelby, John Patton (Emily) of Mansfield, Susie Kleinschmidt, Donna J. Patrick of Shelby and Shirley Brooks of Shelby; and his daughters-in-law, Kay Patton and Reba Ramey. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
