He was predeceased by : his parents, Hade Blanton and Dorothy Blanton (Tackett); and his brothers, Vernon, Robert, Charles, Thomas and Michael.
He is survived by : his wife Donna J. Blanton (McClain); his daughters, Pam Brown (Steve) of Mansfield and Dorothy Oyster (Doug) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Curtis Oyler, Mason Oyster, Douglas Oyster, Jr., David Oyster, Gibson, Biscuit, Smokey and Pebbles; his siblings, Sandy Spurgeon (Martin) of Ontario, Shirley Sutton of Mansfield, Phyllis Blanton of Shelby and Harold Blanton (Judy) of Mansfield; his friend Lynn Wallace; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Daugherty (Marc), Melissa Spurgeon, Alisha Clay (Steve) and David Blanton; his great-nieces, Nevaeh Spurgeon, Johanna Daugherty and Kallee "Roxy" Daugherty; and his parents-in-law, Carolyn Blanton, Marian Blanton, Cheryl Blanton, Lorie Blanton, Rhonda and Lee Johnson. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
