He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard C. Gerster and Margery R. Gerster (Hornavious); and his sister Mary Awbrey. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nate, Gabe, Sam, Cassandra, Jacob, Ben, Katie and Lilly; his great grandchildren, Izzy and Jeremiah; and his siblings, Michael Gerster, Thomas Gerster, Judy Sanders and Becky Gerster-Weithman.
