He was predeceased by: his parents, Corliss Cooper and LaDonna Cooper (Wharton); his sister Janice Rettig; his son-in-law Scott Spraggins; and his grandson James Cooper Sides.
He is survived by: his wife Christina Cooper (Friebel); and his children, Michael Cooper of Medellin, Tom Cooper (Carolyn) of Fletcher, NC, Gary Cooper (Ginger) of Nashville, TN, Vickie McCoy (Dave) of Temperance, MI, Daniel Cooper (Lori) of Shelby, OH and Tammy Sides (Laura Wedekind) of Seale, AL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
