It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clifford McGarvey Jr. of Shelby, Ohio, born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Madeline Katherine (Sweeny) and Clifford McGarvey, Sr.; and his siblings, Charles McGarvey, Madeline Scarfo and Marlene Kratofil.

He is survived by: his wife Lauralee McGarvey (Koch); his children, Brian McGarvey of Alliance, Michael McGarvey (Alba) of Hemet, CA, Laureen Fenninger (Peter) of Lake Mary, FL and Dr. Kevin McGarvey (Tina) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Jamie Oglesby, Jason McGarvey (Sonja), Aaron McGarvey (Anatalie), Shelby McGarvey (Sam Boyce), Autumn Snyder (Cody) and Katie Tubbs (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Rosie, Baylor, Asher and Adlee.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Penwell Funeral Home (168 W Main St, Shelby, OH 44875). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church (29 West St, Shelby, OH 44875).
