He was predeceased by: his father Ersel McClain; and his siblings, Teddy McClain, Icelean Franklin, Maxine Nelson, Janice Elkins and Louise Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Vella McClain (Horn); his daughter Debra McClain of Cincinnati; his sisters, Donna Jean Adkins and Loretta Grass; and his parents-in-law, Della Newport (Bugsy) of Shelby and Sherlen Horn (Della) of Shelby. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
