He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Marx and Loretta Marx (Hammer); his sister Rita Brown; and his sister-in-law Darlene Fitzpatrick. He is survived by: his wife Sandra J Marx (Vogel); his children, Lori Meyer (Jeff), Jeff Marx (Misty), Kelly Patton Cook, Don Patton (Shana), Kristine Smith (Scott), Kimberly Hiler and Kit Wiley; and his grandchildren, Arianna, Jeffrey, Aaron, Amber, Daniel, Thomas, Terry, Wesley, Caleb, Rhiana, Aiden, Heather, Scottie, Brandon, Brett, Bayley, Tyler and Tristen. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
