She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Potter and Eva Potter (Dull); her husband Virgil E. Smith Sr.; her son Virgil Smith Jr.; her siblings, Lelah Emminger and Frank C. Potter; and her nephew Ronald Emminger.
She is survived by: her daughter Loretta Barrett (John) of Shelby; her daughter-in-law Eileen Smith of Shelby; her grandchildren, Scott Smith of Crestline and Jill Stoffer (Tobey) of Bucyrus; and her great grandchildren, Gage Stoffer, Hayli Stoffer, Sarah Smith and Tyler Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
