She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kalo and Vivian Kalo; her siblings, Joseph and Joan Lee Stock; and her nephew Aaron John Kalo.

She is survived by: her husband David R. Knowles; her brother Daniel Kalo; and her goddaughters, Theresa D. Sheldon of Michigan and Heather L. Campbell of Elyria. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
