He was predeceased by: his parents, Paulette Short and Jack Grondin; and his grandparents, Sally Ackerman, George and Pauline Rozic.

He is survived by: his wife Maribel Grondin; his children, Dino Grondin Jr. (Emily) and Erica Grondin; his grandchildren, Angelo Grondin, Makyle Grondin, Avielle Grondin and Arcadius Grondin; his brother Mark Grondin (Angela); his niece Sarah Grondin; his nephew Jonathan Grondin; and his stepfather Kenneth Short.
