With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William J. Gerhart of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Imogene Gerhart; and his siblings, Lenore Whitman, Mildred Emody, Ethel Evans, Theodore Gerhart, Edna Novak and Alan Gerhart.
He is survived by: his children, Debra McSheffery (Thom), Pam DePero (Michael) and Kenneth Gerhart (Misty); his grandchildren, Sean, Ashley, Matthew, Andrew and Wyatt; his great grandchildren, Teddy and Jack; and his sister Elsie Coen.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Avon United Methodist Church (37711 Detroit Rd, Avon, OH 44011). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Ridge Hill Memorial Park (44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst, OH 44001). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the same location.
