He was predeceased by: his spouse Bente Hulswit. He is survived by: his children, Richard Hulswit (Cindy) and Kristina Henson (Brad). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cincinnati.
