She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Hurst; her parents, Lawrence Shafer and Mae Shafer; and her sons, Lawrence and Terry Hurst.

She is survived by: her grandsons, Jerry and Gary Hurst; her great grandchildren, Damon, Jarred and Cody Hurst; and her siblings, Helen Schwarber and Ronnie Denniston. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great great grandchildren.
