He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson A. Slaughter and Wanda L. Slaughter. He is survived by: his son Tyler A. Slaughter; his siblings, Patricia L. Schneider, W. David Slaughter and Jeffrey A. Slaughter (Michelle); and his nephews, Jacob H. Page and Evan W. Slaughter.
