With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maequay B. McKinley of Shaker Heights, Ohio, who passed away on April 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Byers and Ilene Byers; her husbands, George White and Robert McKinney; her siblings, Homer W. Byers, Sr. (Estelle), David W. Byers (Adell) and Mildred Mills (Johnny); and her nieces and nephews, Homer W. Byers, Jr., Curtis L. Byers, Sr., Patricia Mills and Karen Byers-Jones.
She is survived by: her sister Louise Smith; and her nieces and nephews, Attorney Shirley C. Byers of Holly Springs, Brenda Byers Gipson of Collierville, Cassandra Byers Mason of Memphis, Kimberly Byers-Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio, Kenneth Byers, Carl Byers and Clark Byers of Cleveland, Ohio. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
