She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Eugene Simmons, Sr. and Alberta Evelyn Melton (Bertie); and her siblings, Thomas Eugene Simmons, Jr., Frank W. Simmons and Betty Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband John Henry Bustamante; her son Michael Tuan; her grandchildren, Michelle Wilson Jeffery (Dale), Napoleon Stephen Wilson, III (Marva), Aushayla Brown Peddy, Gabrielle, Michael Bustamante, Martine, Joy and Julian Wilson; her great grandchildren, Myles Jeffery, Elyzjah, Leah Wilson, Rhaigeon, Jr. and Rhajah Peddy; her children, Tuan Bustamante, Sonali B. Wilson (N. Stephen), Andre Bustamante and Kamala Bustamante Goode (Frank); and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Simmons, Juanita Simmons and Ethel B. Brooks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
