She was predeceased by: her parents, James Eldridge and Nancy Eldridge; and her husband John Lawrence. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, James Pearson (Joyce), Larry Pearson (Caroline), James Farmer (Cynthia), Terry Patton (Elaine), Dr. James Brown (Peggy), Margaret Dawkins, Eleanor Barnes (Frederick) and Nancy Farmer; and her granddaughter Anne Cole (Michael). She is also survived by great nieces and nephews along with relatives and friends.
In her early life, Ella attended Oakwood College, where she studied teaching, but later changed her major to Nursing, and worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation until her retirement.
