She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Waples and Florence Waples (Hathaway); her husband Walter Browne; her daughter-in-law D. R. Edwards Browne; and her friend Marilyn "Mikie" Alston.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher Abney, Sr., Chandler Browne, David Abney III, Joshua Abney and Dominique Abney; her great grandchild Christopher Abney, Jr.; her godson Craig Alston; her friends, Jean Armstrong and Sylvia Blackwell; and also, Suzanne Alston, Joyce Deep, Melody Stewart and Aimee Cummins. She is also survived by four great-granddaughters.
