He was predeceased by: his brother Kirk Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Thoma E. Thompson; his children, Brad Thompson of St. Clairsville, Corey Thompson (Cassandra) of St. Clairsville, Nicole Bugaj (Kevin) of Wolfhurst and Bambi Manion of Wintersville; his stepdaughters, Nichole Perry of Shadyside and Dawn Carbone of Stow, Maine; his brothers, Scott Thompson (Lei) of Kona and Darrin Thompson (Joell) of Dillonvale, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Aubrie, Kaleb, Lyrical and Imrie.
