James Kovalo Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Kovalo (Shadyside, Ohio), who passed away on November 20, 2021 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kovalo and Rose Kovalo of Dilles Bottom; his father-in-law Charles Truman Fields; and his grandparents, Carmine, Matilda Damiani, Joseph, Malvina DeGenova, Rudolph, Clementine Postage, Julia "Jay" Polivka, Lemuel, Mary Louise Tschappat, Louis Damiani, Primo, Angela Damiani, John, Anna Kovalo, Arnold Woelkers, Charles, Annie Kovalo, Alex and Ann Kouvolo.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Olga Kovalo; his cousins, Connie Tschappet, Ray DeGenova and Louis Damiani; his wife Sherry; his children, Jamie Lee Hammond (Robert), Joshua James Kovalo and Jay Michael Kovalo; his granddaughter Averi Rose of Shadyside; his siblings, Fred Kovalo of McMechen, WV and Carma Kovalo of St. Clairsville; and his mother-in-law Reva Fields Vannatter of Dunbar, WV.. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Interment in Powhatan Cemetery with a luncheon to follow after at St. Mary's. In respect to the family and friends, the family requests that masks be worn and to practice social distancing while visiting at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society by going to TMCFunding.com, American Heart Association by going to TMCFunding.com.
