He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Elmer Sr. and Gladys Irene Long (Gregory); and his brother Joseph W. Long. He is survived by: his children, Joe Long (Virginia) of Neffs and Lora Valentine of Guntersville, AL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
