She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Lawson and Olive Naomi Gluesoncamp Lawson; her husband Charles Victor Whaley; her son Kenneth Lee Whaley; and her siblings, Daisy VanMeter, Wilma Helwigy, Delbert, Charles R., Dale, Glen and Robert Lawson.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Stiffler of Athens, Charles E. Whaley of Athens, Gerald W. "Gig" Whaley of Germany, Franklin E. Whaley of Athens, Larry S. Whaley (Faye) of Olive Hill, KY and Paul D. Whaley (Connie) of Athens; her grandchildren, Rebekah Whaley and Travis Stiffler; and her siblings, Ruby Congo of Middleport and Albert Lawson (Sue) of Long Bottom. She is also survived by many great grandchildren; and many great, great grandchildren.
