She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Cecil Welch; her parents, Hattie Will and Denver VanNest; and her siblings, Robert VanNest, Carol McLead, Helen Sinclair, Hazel Baxter, Leo VanNest, Norman VanNest and Ralph "Kermit" VanNest.
She is survived by: her son Clarence Lee Welch (Debbie); her grandchildren, Rachel Ulbrich (Greg) and Robert Welch (Carey); and her great grandchildren, Michala Riggs (Jake), Hannah Williams (Kaylen Spears), Eric Welch (Briana O'Leary), Chloe Williams, Zachary Ulbrich and Olivia Welch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
