He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Recktenwald and Mary Recktenwald (Rockl); and his sister Theresia Recktenwald. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Brown); his children, Mary E. Johnson (Randy), Patricia Schnellinger (Michael), Joseph A. Recktenwald (Kathleen O'Connor) and Mark Recktenwald (Debbie); his grandchildren, Randy Johnson, Christopher Johnson (Kimberly), Tricia Johnson (Brandon Kulesa), Amy Koneval, Joseph M. Recktenwald, Adam Recktenwald (Stephanie), Erin Schnellinger, Brian Recktenwald (Elizabeth Mason) and Rusty Schnellinger; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Maisy, Calista, Apollo, Cole, Cayson of Benton, JT and Rhys.
