He was predeceased by: his parents, George Diederich and Kathryn "Kay" Diederich; his stepparents, Bill and Vi Ferguson (Panno); his brothers, Bob and Greg; and his grandson Jacob.

He is survived by: his children, Jim, Mary Lupas (Alan), Ann and Tom (Sue). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in Edward Diederich's name to Homes for Our Troops at http://www.hfotusa.org, an organization that builds specially adapted custom homes for wounded veterans.
