He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Pyles and Jerry Pyles (Clairs); and his siblings, Sherry Pyles, Ronnie Pyles and Steve Pyles.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Christina Pyles of Dayton, Melissa Brito (Wellington) of Canton and Donald Pyles (Charisse) of Dayton; his stepsons, John Ford of Creston and Steven Ford (Tina) of Lenoir City, TN; and his siblings, Eric Pyles and Kathy Turner of Cleveland. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
