He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Scarr; his grandson Samuel Henkels; and his brothers, Dwight, Carter and Roger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Noah (Don) of Beavercreek, OH, Lavonne Miller (Lee) of Taylors, SC and Suzanne Henkels (John) of Charlotte, NC.; his grandchildren, Tony Baker (Leah) of Winchester, VA, Sarah Sector (Chris) of Bluffton, SC, Nick Miller (Stephanie) of Alpharetta, GA, Natalie Altizer (Caroline) of Akron, OH, Zach Henkels of Charlotte, NC and Jacob Henkels of Queens, NY; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Wesley Sector, Abigail, Nathaniel, Tabitha Miller, Jack and Isla Baker.
