He was predeceased by: his sons, Erik and Timothy Malenock; and his sister Joanne Tester (Marsha Malenock). He is survived by: his husband Douglas W.; his children, Lorie Everett (Ken) and Christopher Malenock (Katie); his grandchildren, Danielle, Jacob, Maeve, Jack and Conor; his brother Theodore Malenock Jr.; and his son-in-law Matthew O'Brien.
