With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Bates of Senecaville, Ohio, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on September 17, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Garrabrant and Helen McHiney Garrabrant; her great grandchild Shyanne White; her brother Herbert Garrabrant; her half-brother Donald Garrabrant; and her former husband Kenneth "Merritt" Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Vanderkamp (Jenni) of Birmingham, AL, Daniel Vanderkamp (Cathy) of Helena, AL and Joan White of Summerfield, OH; her grandchildren, Josh White (Erin), Justin White, Matthew Vanderkamp, Hunter Vanderkamp, Parker Vanderkamp and Jewel Stewart; and her great grandchildren, Jacob White, Haylee White, Owen White and Naomi Ratliff.
