He is survived by: his wife Nina Smithberger Highman; his sons, Rick Highman (Tammie) of Zanesville and Rusty Highman (Heather) of Senecaville, Ohio; his brothers, Paul Highman (Becky) of Woodsfield, Greg Highman (Susan) of Graysville, Roger Highman (Jackie) of Woodsfield and Roy Highman (Melody) of Graysville, Ohio; his granddaughter Alexis Highman; and his stepgranddaughter Kaylee Smith.

“So sorry for you loss. Have known the Highman family all my life having grown up in Graysville and going to church with them. There was a pack of kids (ha ha) growing up together running up and down the one street through the middle of our small town, At Halloween we stopped at every house for a treat, at Christmas Santa Clause came to church with his bag full of gifts so each of us got one and Ethel Booth teaching our Sunday School class. Will have these memories as long as I live.”
