He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Runion and Georgia Runion (Henselman); his wife Doris Runion (Skivolocke); and his siblings, Harry Runyon and Betty Stoffer.

He is survived by: his children, Steve Runion (Phyllis) of Alliance, Ken Runion (Joan) of Alliance, Robert Runion of Alliance, Mary French (Richard) of Alliance, Therese Bunch of Alliance, James Runion of Alliance, Donna Runion of Alliance and John Runion of Silver Lake, OH. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
