He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Cope and Mabel Cope (Roath); his wife Shirley G. Cope; and his son Paul Howard. He is survived by: his daughters, Marsha Miller of Arizona and Cindy Magda (Andy) of Alliance; and his sister Patricia Ludwig. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
