He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Helmick and Bonnie Scott Helmick; and his grandparents, Robert, Alice Scott, Bessie and Ray Helmick.
He is survived by: his children, Erin Suggett, Sarah Butterbaugh and Austin Helmick; his siblings, Arminta Sanor and Robert Helmick Jr. (Rachal); his grandson Paxton Pierce; and his nieces and nephews, Christine Sanor (David), Anthony Jordan, Bobby Helmick, Connor Helmick and Elizabeth Helmick. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
