He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ida Mae and Joseph Ezra Windon; his wife Nancy Lee (Yoho); his children, Steven Windon (Lynda), Judith Steer (Mike), Susan Niehaus (Les) and Jeff Windon; his grandchildren, Jason Steer (Danielle), Stephanie Windon, Donnelle Becker (Jeremy), Saleena Repko (James), Andrew Windon (Lindsay), Jacob Windon, Hannah Niehaus, David Windon and Jack Windon; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Steer, Zachary Becker, Caden Steer, Ellen Becker, Lily Repko, Reid Windon and Layla Repko.
