He was predeceased by: his brother Dale E. Tuel. He is survived by: his parents, Ronald L. and Florence Tuel (Pilmer); his wife Treva; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Tuel, Diana Hagedorn, Nora Haymaker (James), Arlene Umberger (Mike), Penny Hershberger (Aaron), Robert Sams (Patricia) and David Sams.
