He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Abney and Lillian Abney (Kean); his wife Judy Devine Abney; and his brother William Abney. He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Springer and Theresa Scarpitti; his grandchildren, Mike Springer (Tracy), Matt Springer (Natalie) and Erica Scarpitti; and his great grandchildren, Evan, Karli, Jack and Luke Springer.
