He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Shelton and Mary Shelton (Short); his wife Wanda Shelton (Brown); his children, Richard Dale Shelton and Pam Shreffler; and his sister Carolyn Prine.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Shelton (Christine) of Winchester, Angela Shreffler (Rick) of Seaman, Christa Meade (Rob) of Seaman and Heather Roush (Chris) of Seaman; his son-in-law Bill Shreffler; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard Brown, Bonnie Brown and Beverly Brown. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home (18029 OH-247, Seaman, OH 45679). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's memory to the American Legion Post 633, PO BOX 190, Seaman, Ohio 45679.
