He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Hanson and Julia Hanson (Walker); his wife Lorean Hanson; and his son Larry Hanson. He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Hanson of Seaman, OH and Ron Hanson of Powell; and his siblings, Faye Scott of Winchester, OH and Harley Hanson of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
