He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Louise Pinkerton; his parents, Joseph E. Pinkerton Sr. and Marjorie Bond Pinkerton; and his siblings, Donald Pinkerton, John Pinkerton and Betty Burke.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Johnson of Seaman, Terri Willett (John) of New Vienna and Rebecca Huffman (David) of Beavercreek, Ohio; and his siblings, Roger Pinkerton (Carolyn J.) of New Vienna, Randy Pinkerton (Mindy) of Wilmington, Ronnie Pinkerton (Melissa) of Clarksville, Ohio, Mary Pocholec (Merle) of Oregon and Joan Humphry (Rex) of Hillsboro, Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
