She was predeceased by: her parents, John Earl and Virgie Lee Applegate Kennard; her husband George Elwood Copley; her daughter Karen Sue Hire; and her siblings, John Kennard, Jr. and Janet Weaver.

She is survived by: her sons, Gary Copley (Kathy) of Melbourne, FL, Ricky Copley (Cheryl) of Salvisa, KY and Mark Copley (Kathy) of Delaware; and her sister Brenda Shonkwiler of Portsmouth. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
