She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace "Jo" Gertrude Young and Ettsal Warren "E. W."; her brother William Young (Tom); her mother-in-law Zepha Carter; her grandson Zachary Tyler Rhoden; and her sisters, Janie Carter and Renae Carter.
She is survived by: her husband John Carter; her stepchildren, Amanda Carter-Moore, Wesley Carter (Amanda), Eric Carter and Tressa Carter; her siblings, Warren Young (Barb), John Young (Nancy), Sharon S. Young, Tammy L. Collier, Robert "Bobby" Carter, Teri Bowling, Sandy Rader (David) and Scott Carter; and her grandchildren, Gabrielle Carter, Caden Rhoden, Kameron Carter and Kylee Carter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
