With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Phillips (Scio, Ohio), born in Dennison, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen L. Johnston (Rinkes) and William C. "Hoopie" Phillips; and his stepfather Mason W. Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Tina Phillips (Fedasz); his children, Jenny Fuerst (Aaron) of Worthington, Ohio, Cory Phillips (Kacey) of Jewett, Ohio and Matt Phillips (Shawna) of Green, Ohio; his brother John Phillips (Lorri) of Scio, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Grant, Reed, Brock Fuerst, Hattie, Hazel, Henry Phillips, William and Eleanor Phillips.
As a longtime member of the Legion, contributions may be mailed in Bill's memory to the Scio American Legion Post 482 at 38175 Crimm Road, Scio, OH 43988 with Bill Phillips in the memo for the charity fund.
