With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Howes of Scio, Ohio, born in Maynard, Ohio, who passed away on January 31, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen R. Covington and Pearl Edith Shaffer Covington; her husband Harry W. Howes; her great grandchildren, Jason Tubaugh and Jared DeGarmo; her siblings, Burton, Ivan, Claude, Raymond, Oline "Dick", Allen E. Covington, Creola Perko (Frank) and Rose Shane (Robert); her pet Molly B.; and also Ronald (Toni).
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Stephanie Johnson, Stacie Bailie (Clyde), Rebecca Everhart and Ron-Michelle Ruckman (Brian). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
