It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sally S. Merkel of Scio, Ohio, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Francis and Ethel Conley Wilson; her husband Miller August "Shybuck" Merkel; her daughter Melissa Sue Merkel; and her brothers, Joseph and Louis Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Merkel (Melissa) of Spartanburg, SC and Suzanne Stull (Brian) of Scio; her grandsons, Hunter Merkel of Dayton, TX, Brandon Stull and Brenton Stull of Scio, OH; and her sisters-in-law, Marcia Wilson of Raleigh, NC and Bonnie Wilson of Washington, PA. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home (172 S Main St, Cadiz, OH 43907). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
