He is survived by: his parents, Robert E. Shafer and Imagene Smith Shafer; his sister Catherine Shafer; his nephew Tyler Shafer; his aunts and uncles, Shirley Jones, Rick Shafer, John Shafer, Peggy Dull, Sharon Combs, Paul Shafer, Shirlene Meacham, Junior Smith, Jack Spradlin and Larry Smith (Mary); and his cousin Larry Smith Jr..
