He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Custer and Kathryn Thompson Custer; his former wife Donna Ruth Crall Custer; his wife Nancy S. Grum Custer; and his brothers, Bob, Keith and Grant Custer.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Smith (Denver) of Cadiz, Jim Custer (Marianne) of Scio and Jay Custer of Sugarcreek; his stepchildren, Kelli Frazier (Marty) of Charleston, WV and Scott Davis of Sugarcreek; his grandchildren, Melissa, James, Jessica, Sarah, Nichole and Maci; and his great grandchild Christian.
