He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Kohler and Froma Kohler; his wife Dorothy; his son-in-law Rick Burke; and his brother Roger Kohler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lesa Burke of Perrysville, Leslie Frank (Kevin) of Canton, Linda Little (Jon) of Tappan Lake and Lorrie Wauthier (Mike) of Port Washington; his grandchildren, Jerri, Jamie, Justin, Danielle and Nathan; his siblings, Melvin Kohler (Nora) of Kilgore and Iverna Simmons of Carrollton; his sister-in-law Penny Kohler Myers of Bowerston; and his pet Georgie. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
