It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy E. Kovacs of Scio, Ohio, born in East Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on February 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Schoonover and Alma Schoonover; her husband Edward Kovacs; her sons, Timothy and David; her sister Delphia; and also, Raymon, Wayne and Milton Schoonover.
She is survived by: her children, Michael, Jeffery and Brenda (Shannon); and her sister-in-law Helen Digiammarino. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cox-McNulty Funeral Home (222 Norton Ave, Barberton, OH 44203). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
